10:50 am - AUSA, Steampunk, Katsucon Updates

It was really great to see everyone during Anime USA. I apologize for not posting earlier, but I've been recovering haha. I didn't take many photos (less than 10 actually) because I was so busy doing panels and the fashion show with all my friends :).
Seriously, even though the weekend was super stressful, thanks to everyone who helped out, it was still a lot of fun! Especially Saturday night after everything was over, and we all chilled at the host club! Super thanks to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) ken_smind for EVERYTHING. I'm glad that I was able to spend so much time with you this convention even if it was being creeped out in a parking lot haha. And super thanks to rare_dreamer for helping take all those fantastic shots of us. Seriously, I'm sorry for dragging you around for most of the weekend, but it was great to see you, like always~~
Well speaking on the fashion show -- if you guys weren't there, Ken, Mimi, and I participated in the Steampunk fashion show that was the halftime show at the masquerade! It was really awesome because I've loved steampunk for a long time. I actually was reading Time Magazine yesterday and they had an article about Steampunk in there! Sure it was literally the 2nd to last page, but that's still something! I agree with Ken when he said that AUSA chose the perfect time to do Steampunk. It's getting really huge, and not in the nerd subculture. Art, and fashion have also starting taking a lot to things from steampunk and the vintage look in general.
Final note, I've had my finalized costume plans for Katsucon for a while. Yes, I'm still attending Katsucon, but I will be leaving Saturday afternoon so that I can enjoy New Year's Eve dinner with my family. I may or may not return on Sunday.
FRIDAY: Baofu of Persona 2 (with group)
SATURDAY: Ryougi Shiki of Kara no Kyoukai (with my school buddy, Kucchi as Lio fuck yeah)
If anyone on my flist wants to do Kara no Kyoukai with me, that would be awesome. I'm trying to convince some people to do it with me, but not much success so far. I'm so excited for the new Kara no Kyoukai movie. I've been wondering what the deal is with Lio!!

FRIDAY:
Noon-Afternoon: Johnny Shiden (Tales of Destiny)
Late Afternoon and onwards: Ryuichi Asami (Viewfinder Series)
7:00-8:30 PM: Cosplay is NOT Serious Business in Workshop Room 2
8:30-10:00 PM: Cosplay Lvl Up! in Workshop Room 2
10:00 PM: SEE YOU BITCHES LATER?! TYPE MOON FAN PANEL FUCK YEAH. (This isn't my panel of course, but I want to at least see part of it!!)
11:30 PM: Boy's Love Games in Panel Room 2
SATURDAY:
Morning-Evening: Steampunk Military Student (Original Design)....and alot of stuff going on today.
4:00-6:30 PM: Going to the Masq!
Somewhere in between 6:30 and 7:00 PM: HOLY CRAP GUYS, SOMEONE HELP ME GET SOME FOOD.
7:00 PM: The Destiny of 108: A Suikoden Panel (lol nice name) in Panel Room 2(We're doing a Suikoden cosplay group to match this panel, so I'm doing McDohl again)

:( So apparently the new Edgeworth game that was originally slated for mid-January has been bumped back to February! I hope that they don't bump it back anymore! I was to reserve it...but it won't help if it comes out when I'm on the other side of the continent!!

Alright, I don't post much, but I am really happy! I went out today to pick up some random junk for steampunk. I didn't know it, but the framing store that was next to Staples had changed to a Good Will. So I decided to take a look, and I found the most perfect boots for Shiki's regular outfit!! (The blue kimono and leather jacket one). Well technically, I've seen her drawn with two different styles of boots, the calf length like the figurine (which is the one I got), and there is also a knee-length in one of the drawn pictures.
:D I'm so excited! It's perfect, and it cost me 4 dollars! It's a maybe a size too big, but if I put the insoles, it shouldn't be much of a problem. I'm going to probably wear the boots for steampunk as well :).
It's a good day in the life of me. And I don't care if you guys don't care!! (I'm sure the only person who does care is Kevin).

hahahahaha :( Sorry. I actually took this picture when I was going crazy from making Chopin, so I was intending to post it as "in progress" picture. (I just ended up not having any time to post it since I spent the entire rest of the week making the stupid costume).
Hahaha I went up to NY and NYAF from Thursday to Monday. I'll post up the pictures (along with the Katsucon photos that I never got to) soon. But instead, I'll do shout-out post so that people know that I'm still alive...

I actually found this on lasarfhiona's LJ and I never do these things, but this one actually looked really neat. To me, it looks like two angels, one on the left and one on the right. (Very SMT:Persona style mech-angels or whatever). And in the center, between the two angels is another angel (or something of the sort) wearing a robe, with wings spread out and no head.
I kind of want to draw what this looks like to me, which is the only reason why I posted it haha;;;;. It's kind of fun...
Sorry I've been spamming your LJs like a crazy person. I promise I'm going to get working on steampunk stuff soon though. I just bought the fabric for the lining~ :3

Alright, my hand is breaking off from doing a bunch of cutting and more cutting, punching holes and otherwise putting keychains together. But here is my information for Otakon.

Oh, I guess the other times I might be Chie or Kirari from Kirakira???? Hahahahhahahahahahah Come by the Dealer's Room and have fun with me! I'm working on Friday 12-8, Saturday 10-12, 3-6, Sunday 12-3 hahahahahahhaha lots of fun to be had!!! I'm also trying to put some stuff up with the TAS table in the Artist Alley....hopefully there is enough room.....
