I went and met up with my sister in Japan Town yesterday. They played Michael Jackson music in a lot of the stores.

While you guys in Maryland are enjoying your thunderstorms and humidity, I am currently enjoying 67 degree, sunny, slightly windy temperature with no humidity :) It's really nice. hahahaha If you don't know, I'm right outside of San Francisco. And it's really nice here! I've done pretty much nothing cosplay wise, but have visited plenty of fun places. :)
What is everyone doing for Otakon? Hahhaha I haven't been keeping up since i've been enjoying delicious food, scary asians, and great weather :D. I'll be back in about a week and a half so let me know what you guys are doing so I can see you during Ota!!!

Haha random story time rather than anything serious.
Yesterday was April Fool's Day, and since attending college, I haven't encountered as many pranks (which is good). Occasional joke from friends and that kind of thing.
But yesterday, I was in my history lecture of 200 some people, when suddenly the door flies in and what looks to be a tardy student covered in toilet paper runs in. He proceeds to run around the room in a stunned silence.
The door flies open again, and 4 more people dressed in lab coats and those one-piece hazmat-looking suits (but significantly less massive) run in holding laser guns and crazy looking equipment and yelling "Where did he go?!" "Get him!!" playing the Ghostbusters theme!
Then they ran around the room and quickly ran out the door again still chasing the ghost. hahaha
Everyone burst out laughing when we realized it was the Ghostbusters though! hahah even the professor seemed to enjoy it too XD.

To all the AUSA people who have expressed interest in doing panels with me:
The panel sign ups are beginning in the beginning of April, so this is pretty urgent stuff here, guys.
If you are interested in doing panels and getting your free badges, I will need your help this time around. Due to school and graduating stuff, I will not have the time to take charge of arranging and organizing all the panels and need help if you guys are doing to do this seriously.
I will be organizing two panels only. So what's going to happen is pretty much, you will be in charge of organizing your own panel, which really isn't all that much work by itself (it just adds up). However, the same name will be used for the main contact information for the AUSA panel coordinator so that we don't have conflicting schedule/panel times.
Stuff that you would need to do includes filling out a panel form (panel name, summary, list of equipment needed, etc), researching your topic (if necessary), making sure all your panelists know what they need to do, bringing the stuff you need to the panel (laptops, references, whatever). That's it. It's really all that simple, but if I am in charge of all of the panels, it will be too much for myself!
IF you are interested in doing panels, and already have a panel in mind, please message me or call me as soon as you can.
If you are interested in doing panels, but don't have a panel in mind, also message me letting me know that.
I will be participating in your panels most likely (unless if I really don't know anything about it, then I will just be attending). This is just about ORGANIZING the panels, so don't think that you will be doing the panel alone! Panelists stuff will be figured out once I know who is organizing what. Also, this is only if you're planning on doing your panels with me/our paneling group! If you want to do your own panels without being with the rest of us, that's fine too. I am doing this so that we don't have scheduling conflicts!
Sorry if this is really hard to understand, I'm really tired. If you have any questions, just message me or what not. :)

Sorry to anyone who was tried to call me within the last week. I caught a really bad virus -- so bad that if Chuck Norris got in a fight with this virus, he'd lose :(. That's just the facts.
I missed class for the greater portion of this week, and now I'm even further behind in my work, with a paper, exam, and critique coming up fast.
For those who haven't called me, I have sounded like a robot, a zombie, and a ghost. Just use your imagination. It's that bad. I'm still coughing real bad even now.
That being said, derp. Here's a pointless meme to fill your lives lol.
Post your first cosplay (that you have pictures of) and your most recent cosplay to see how you've improved.
Kaoru from Dir En Grey was technically my first cos, but I didn't think it's fair since it's actually a very complicated costume that my mom made all of. I don't have a single picture of Tsuzuki from Yami no Matsuei which I wore for the days that I didn't do Dir. So here's an easier comparison instead. McDohl from Suikoden~~. Pretty much, my costumes are still wrinkly no matter how much I iron them lolololololol (mainly because I shoved my costume into my backpack this year and brocades wrinkle so badly). BTW, the tunic thing, is totally the exact same in both costumes but just made with different fabrics. .....looking at it that way, it seems like I haven't changed! Still doing the same costume, at the same convention, in the same hotel, eating the same McDonald's, with the same Riou. :) I guess I like it that way too.
Bonus: If you check out the 2003 picture, you will notice that the hotel has re-carpeted since then!! (I was actually going to use a picture to compare the carpets too, but I looked too srsbiz)

I'm sorry to hear that many of the people on my flist had a very bad time at Krapsucon/Katshitcon. It was nonetheless good to see everyone there, no matter how tired/pissed off we all were. Hopefully it'll be better next time.
I will be posting pictures shortly.
However, next item on the list: Anime USA paneling.
Those of you on my flist that are interesting in doing panels/getting free badges for doing panels with me, please let me know. I am already under the assumption that Ken, Magenta and Mimi (sorry you're listed last, Mimi. Alphanumerical sucks.) are going to be joining in again.
Off the top of my head, Annie, Lyn, Anita, Dana are people that would seem interested. Please leave me a message here. I'm not doing a 3 hour panel again (too late in the evening), so I'm trying to get in touch with people now.
By the way, if you haven't heard it, the theme for AUSA will be steam punk. :)

The website to Nitro+Chiral's newest game: Sweet Pool
I've paused working on my final project, just to express how upset I am at the OP of the new Nitro+Chiral game, Sweet Pool. When it was first announched, Sweet Pool looked very bland. They changed artists from Tatana Kana (the artist of Lamento and Togainu) to Otsuka-I can't remember the rest of the name. The art is a lot different, not necessarily bad...but everyone is either in school uniforms, or has the ugliest green button up with ugly necktie patterning.
And seriously, that name? Sweet Pool? What is this? A bl game set in the backyard of a rich person's house? "Man...that's a sweet pool you got there."
But then Nitro+Chiral started uploading pictured of the main character drowning, covered in blood, covered in parasite/intestine textured blood things, the main character lying in a bathtub full of blood, and a picture of him staring out the window of a hospital. And they came out with the demo movie, with this creepy electronic-y music, shaky cam, and in addition to that, their static-filled and bloood covered website. On top of all that, they had their tagline saying that this game even though it is a BL game, there is no romance involved. At least it's looking better!
And then now, 6 days away from the day this game goes on sale, Nitro+Chiral updates their website with the OP movie to the game. http://www.nitrochiral.com/pc/software/sweetpool/download_op.html
This opening sucks ass. Maybe they are going for "Oh, let's make this look a lot more tame, than the reality, so when the ending comes, it will be that much more shocking!" (Similar to when you get to the end of Death Note, and Raito is batshit insane, and there is a flashback to "The most innocent student in all of Japan" scene) but...what. Seriously? I can accept that this game is about Youji going crazy, and so they want to show the real, non-crazy world...but this Opening is halfway between crazy, and halfway not. There are nice scenes of chairs, and highways and whatever...and then they use massive grunge texture, and type, as well as the red dried blood color...all on top of the cheesiest engrish song ever.
If this opening doesn't protray cheesy high school bl dramu, I don't know what does. also, the bubble effect sparkling off of the blood splattered logo...is really special (read: totally gay)...but not as gay as the ending "Let's hold hands, bff picture." I hope the rest of the game is much better than this shit. As an art major, working on my graphic design final project right now, I am massively annoyed.
Anyway, hopefully I won't die during this week, and will in fact have time to see everyone I have talked to about meeting up with this week! (Lyn, Dana, Ken, Mimi,...)<3

Ahahah I figure that I should post since I haven't done it for a month.
mostly it has been a pretty boring month. I stumbled upon Annie's birthday, Magenta's birthday, Mimi's birthday, as well as Jacquie's in the month of November. December started off with Lyn's birthday this past friday. I got to see most of those cool kids (Lyn not yet since I was busy this weekend, and am planning for next weekend to spend with her), as well as surprise cameo from Anita who came down from NY! Hooray! As well as Michael who got dragged along to fabric shopping hahahha. I didn't get to see an unnamed person WHO MOVED TO TEXAS BECAUSE SHE IS CRAZY! ahha :P
Lots of projects have been had. Our gallery exhibition on sustainability: e30, a 30 day ecosystem opened and finished, to pretty good reception all around. Thanksgiving gave way to uselessness, and then now I have 3 projects and an exam coming up soon.
I have been drawing a bit since I entered two Secret Santas, one for Nitro+Chiral and one for Gyakuten Saiban, so those will be done by the end of the month.
I am looking forward to the winter break, and hope to see you guys! For Katsucon, I will be wearing Suikoden's Tir Mcdohl~ I am really excited for this. Saturday, I am planning to do Matt Engarde from Phoenix Wright, if I can get it done in time. I will probably wear change to something else later on Saturday so that I won't be dying in that costume, but other than McDohl and Matt, whatever. I better see you guys at Katsucon at least! :P

I am so sad.
Today, I check my email, saying that Atlus was doing a reprint of Persona 2.
I checked it in class, and it was on sale for 40 dollars. Not bad, and it's been a pretty good game to me so far. (Minus the saving children from a burning building crap, but we won't go there).
I check it just now, and it's already all sold out! And it is being resold for 70 dollars already! Angry!
*sigh* Oh well...maybe Danger was able to pick it up.
Also, I cannot wait for Katsucon. Phoenix Wright, fuck yeah!
And I have successfully finished 2 projects and 1 exam. Only the hardest project left to go. (and to see if I can't tidy up one of the other projects...but only if I have the time).
Give me a call guys, I am finally free again to talk to people....limited time offer.

So more info has popped up about the Phoenix Wright Takarazuka show (THAT'S RIGHT, I CHECK UP ON THIS RELIGIOUSLY!)
So there is now, a new female lead introduced in the casting. I'm interested to see where they are going with that...
But more importantly, there is one thing that is a little bit weird for me...
When I say "Takarazuka Phoenix Wright," I mean exactly that. Am I the only one confused by the fact that the cast is listed for Phoenix Wright and Edge Worth as opposed to Naruhodo Ryuichi and Reiji Mitsurugi or whatever. (Also, Edge Worth...Not Miles Edgeworth, just Edge Worth....??)

So yeah, amidst an onslaught of exams and projects, Anime USA came and went. The entire two weeks leading to the convention were a terror. I had schoolwork to do left and right, on top of my hardcore baby-eating Lamento costume. But anyway, AUSA was interesting. I didn't take any pictures of hall cosplay this year, and barely anyone took pictures of me. There's not much else to say about the convention, but I was glad to see all the people there!
However! Many many thanks to Ken for putting up with us the entire weekend, and dealing with my terrible memory. Hhahaha. We will have to plan more things soon enough.
Sorry for the late photos. Hahha I've been busy with school a lot :(

Hahaha, okay, so I was looking up some Takarazuka stuff just now and I somehow came across a press article about how Campcom has come to an agreement with Takazakura Revue Company to do Phoenix Wright.
This is special, and I kind of what to see it, because Phoenix Wright is already really special ahahahhahaha. Spectacular. I have no words, other than that.
